Wondering how to store luggage in Dublin airport? I got you covered. Dublin airport is pretty far from the city – which means, there’s rarely any need for you to store your luggage in the airport.
However, You have options in both terminals of Dublin airport, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. if you absolutely need to store luggage in Dublin Airport – it is certainly possible. And the easiest option is the airport baggage storage facility.
You can always take a taxi / bus – go to the city and store the luggage there.
The baggage storage facility in Terminal 1 is located in the Arrivals Hall near the Airport Information Desk. The opening hours are Sunday –Monday , 5 am till 9 pm, but the luggage storage should be available 24/7.
I attached the map for better understanding, visit the website for the updated one.Terminal One map ( Use the terminal option there, and all the details will pop up!)
Baggage Storage Advantages and Disadvantages: Terminal 2
Terminal 2 also has baggage storage facilities. You can find it in the Baggage Hall area on the ground floor.
It’s also accessible during airport operating hours. However, You have options in both terminals of Dublin airport.
However, Let’s be honest, it is costly, like really very costly.
Price for all suitcases (bags, holdalls, rucksacks etc)
Each day after is an extra €7 per bag.
Large items (surfboards, bicycles etc)
€45 per week after that.
Small items (laptops, laptop bags, small handbag etc)
€8 per week after that.
Well, from what I’ve seen, folks who really care about feeling comfortable, having flexibility, and getting around easily are the ones who go for it. But, during peak travel times, it’s smart to book ahead to make sure there’s space, especially for big items or group storage.
I will give you my personal recommendation. If I were you – and if I am in Dublin for more than 24 hours, I wouldn’t bother keeping the luggage in airport. Yes, you might not have a place to stay and might move around from Belfast to Dublin etc – but still, keeping it in the city or literally anywhere else will cost you less.
The only exception is if you have something really really valuable to store. By all means, go for it then.
You can often store your luggage on the spot, especially when it’s not busy.
Baggage storage facilities in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are super easy to get to right inside the airport. This makes it super easy for travelers to drop off or grab their bags before or after their flights.
Security is a big deal, too. At Dublin Airport, they’ve got top-notch security measures for all baggage, whether it’s carry-on or checked. Plus, items stored in their facility are closely monitored and off-limits to anyone just passing by.
And guess what? Travelers love these. There’s quite a crowd! Sometimes, you’ve gotta be quick and book ahead to grab your spot.
